The Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Course is designed to prepare individuals to become instructors in ACLS. By the end of the ACLS instructor course the instructor candidate will be able to teach, conduct skills and scenario testing, and remediate using the ACLS videos and the lesson maps in the instructor manual.

This class includes BLS Provider recertification (When you bring a valid BLS provider card or a HeartCode BLS certificate to class).

Course Prerequisites:
- Accepted for alignment with an "AHA Primary Training Center"**
- Possess a current AHA ACLS Provider card
- Possess a valid BLS Provider card or a present a valid HeartCode BLS completion certificate.
- If you are already an AHA instructor in any discipline, you MUST log into your new Atlas account and complete/update your profile before coming to this class. Use your old "AHA Instructor Network" login information (Atlas has replaced the Instructor Network as of August 2023). Complete any tasks listed on your Atlas dashboard, make sure your email address is up-to-date, and ensure all of your disciplines are present (e.g., BLS, HeartCode, ACLS, etc., as relevant). This is absolutely critical, as the new Atlas system will not allow us to process your new instructor card until you have completed these tasks.
** Please note: Instructor alignment with SCCAD requires the pre-approval of the Training Center Coordinator and is granted only to candidates who will teach at least 90% of their classes within St. Charles County. If you are unable to meet this requirement, you will need to align with a different AHA training center prior to the date of this class.
